11.11.

Another outfit that is a bit more casual. Theme was browns, blues and some crisp white with seasonal textures.

The flecked knit works nicely with the vest with its suede and corduroy accents. I thought to go with a striped shirt to add some blue to the upper part, and I quite like how the crewneck jumper squeezes those collars.

The same pair of jeans again, and brown with beige flecks heavy wool socks. Oh, and on my wrist a blue white nantucket bracelet.

Another close-up from the jeans, the jumper and my belt, which is a bridle leather belt made by Equus Leather.

I didn't really like these shoes that much at first, but I've been using them quite a lot now and am starting to be quite fond of them. They still have the horrible flaw of the piece of leather under the wing made from multiple pieces and not having that beautiful long sleek line that all longwings should have. Anyway, the color is bang on and the shape works well with my style.

I've said this before, but I think I've developed my favorite thing for the season. Semi-heavy non-boots, heavy wool socks (I need to find a pair of some kind of Fair Isle socks) and slim chinos or jeans wrapped about an inch higher than normally. Let that texture show!

  1. Where did you bought the jeans? Did they fit right of the rack?

    1. Hey! These jeans are from a local store, and they are made by Indigofera. I've had them tapered from calf down.

    2. I was wondering about the same thing. Fit looks spot on! Going to give a pair of jeans to the tailor pretty soon, too. Do you usually show your tailor pictures of how the fit should look like, or do you give specific measurements?

    3. Hi sma,

Depends. I use the same person so she pretty much knows what I want and the only measurement I use if leg opening.

  2. Love how the vest doesn't make you look 40lbs heavier like mine! Diggin' your blog, from frozen Canada!

    1. Hehe, try some lightweight down vests. They tend to be very thin but still warm. Also, always nice to have Canadian readers, I love Canada (except for when we play ice hockey against each other of course).

  3. I really like the pairing of a striped shirt with a sweater. I do that too sometimes. I don't remeber if I asked you before, but do you wash or dryclean your raw denim?

    1. Thanks mate, I like it as well. So far I haven't washed these once. Now that the weather is getting below zero I've been keeping them at my balcony at night, and I would still consider them quite "fresh". When the time comes I'm going to use a mild dry cleaning for the first wash.

  4. Oh, I almost forgot, if you accept a suggestion for a future post, I would like to see how you imagine a clubbing, nightlife sort of outfit

    1. Heh, sure, I just rarely have time to take any pictures (and it's too dark) when going out. I often just go with some kind of a semi-casual navy odd jacket and chinos or denim + loafers eg. I've found myself choosing a knit tie almost every time. How about you?

    2. I usually go out with jeans(not my usual ones, somethig more distressed, think Dsquared2)+shirt+blazer but in dark colours because I'm always afraid of something getting spilled. Now that I think about it it's probabily the only time I wear a black blazer or a black shirt.
